going to the chapel
wightman chapel Let James Weinberg of "Keys to Your Wedding" provide for all your musical needs from rehearsal to reception. I have two music degrees from Belmont (Bachelor of Music in Church Music and Master of Music Education) and over 20 years experience in the field of wedding music planning and performance.

I am approved to play in Scarritt Bennett Center's Wightman Chapel (above), Benton Chapel on the Vanderbilt campus, as well as the Belmont Mansion. In addition, I have performed at many popular venues around middle Tennessee such as Riverwood Mansion, Hermitage Hotel, Cheekwood Botanical Gardens, Dyer Observatory, Two Rivers Mansion and Hillwood Country Club. For a more intimate setting, I recommend Skinner Chapel at Scarritt or Holy Cross Anglican Church in Franklin where I serve as organist.

pipe organ You also find me on the web as "Going to the Chapel," which emphasizes my full service approach to creating any type of ensemble you desire. With my many contacts in Music City, I can subcontract instrumentalists and vocalists to meet your needs.

For many years I have specialized in Celtic weddings featuring Great Highland Bagpiper Gregory Martin Cutcliff of the Nashville Pipes and Drums. Flute and fiddle are other popular additions. As your wedding music director, I will provide the best in traditional wedding repertoire, both classical and popular. My fellow players and I will add a relaxing touch to the prelude music as your guests gather. As your pianist, I can accompany singers, play your favorite love songs and movie themes, CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) and country. I also play from a repertoire of jazz standards, light rock and pop for receptions and can even bring my own portable keyboard if your site has no instrument.

bride Want a harpist or a singer? Let me do the work. I can arrange ensembles that include strings, flute, trumpet, guitar, etc. and when hired as your keyboardist will charge no management fees!  So sit back and relax, knowing your ceremony will be just as you've dreamed...maybe even better!

Why "Keys to Your Wedding"?

Because if your site doesn't have an instrument, or the organ and piano are out of tune or otherwise unplayable, I will gladly provide one of my own portable electronic keyboards.
